State of the City

LEAP Managed IT was pleased to be a sponsor at OneZone’s State of the City Address by Fishers’ Mayor Scott Fadness.  With close to 600 people in attendance at the FORUM Credit Union, attendees eagerly awaited the address.  Mayor Fadness’ opening remarks drew support from the crowd as he talked about Fishers being an unconventional city focusing on future sustainability through the development of community ties and continued reinvesting to remain vibrant.  It was an open and very candid discussion led by IndyStar reporter Tim Swarens, who got the Mayor to open up about his success and challenges facing a growing community.  Mayor Fadness talked about finding a balance that not only supports Hamilton County and Fishers but neighboring communities that struggle with declining population numbers and growth.  Stating that if we work together to promote Central Indiana and encourage companies to invest in our region while fostering an innovative workplace, the citizens win.  In 2016 the city of Fishers added 1,550 new jobs and maintains one of the lowest tax rates in the state.
